ABOUT RAGIN’ JAZZ
The Louisiana Ragin' Jazz Dance Team is the official Dance Team under Louisiana Athletics. Our team is a part of the Spirit Program which consists of Ragin' Cajuns Cheerleading and Ragin' Jazz. Serving as a fundamental part of Louisiana Athletics, the team promotes Ragin' Cajuns Spirit at a multitude of athletic events including Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, and Soccer. In addition, the team plays an integral role in the University Community by performing at pep rallies, parades, and other University-related events throughout Acadiana. Ragin' Jazz serves as spirited University ambassadors through participation in community service, public appearances and charitable events.
NEW THIS YEAR: The Ragin' Jazz Dance Team will compete on the national level at the DTU College Classic National Championship in Orlando, FL.
The team has access to the following student-athlete resources:
- Access to Athletic Performance and Sports Medicine Staff and Resources
- Fuel Zone (healthy snacks for pre and post workout)
- Priority Scheduling
- Student-Athlete Academic Center
- Adidas Gear
The Ragin' Jazz program will transition to a recruiting format and offer roster spots to fill the team for the next season. See below for information on how to be recruited. The coaching staff will also host a live open tryout at the conclusion of the recruiting process to fill any remaining roster spots if needed.

To receive an offer, interested athletes must be evaluated in-person by the UL coaching staff at clinics, regional competitions, national competitions, and combines.
